St Mawes Hotel
This month I had the opportunity to work with the St Mawes Hotel in Cornwall, helping them out with some photography for their website and marketing. I spent about a day and a half over in St Mawes, which was lovely. Catching the King Harry ferry was a nice alternative to the usual drive to a job. The weather was fantastic, if not a little hot for me (I don’t do well on scorching hot days).
The hotel has been lovingly redesign by Karen Richards, who with her husband own the St Mawes Hotel and the Idle Rocks. Her thoughtful design made it very easy for me to find great compositions to photograph. The hotel has a lovely homely feel, plays great music and has a laid back menu. Putting you in a fantastic mood for relaxing with friends and family. This relaxed, music-led, tapas style USP was the brief for the photography. I used a muted palette of colours and tones with a selection of black and whites.
